        The PE Curriculum at Bourne Abbey

        Introducing our Bronze Young Ambassadors……

        The bronze young ambassadors are 4 children from Year 5 and Year 6 who have demonstrated a great passion for sport and physical activity. Our Bronze Young Ambassadors are:

        • Honor
        • Isla
        • Finlay
        • Isabelle

        All bronze young ambassadors attend training organised by Inspire+. They are given the task of promoting and encouraging their fellow pupils to complete Healthy Happy Active activities, which is aimed at getting pupils more physically active, confident and therefore happier.

        Their main roles include:

        • To increase participation
        • To promote PE and school sport
        • To promote positive values in sport
        • Be an excellent role model

        In addition to our weekly PE lessons, pupils have also had access to:

        • Virtual athlete ambassador assemblies- Sam Ruddock, Johnathon Broom-Edwards and Lizzie Simmons
        • Mentor wellbeing workshops

        • Inter competitions in a variety of sports
        • Intra competitions within school- cross country, sports day, swimming gala
        • Talented athlete program
