Spectacular Science!
Bourne Abbey Primary Academy are delighted to have been recognised for their continued commitment to science by received the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) Gilt for the second time. This demonstrates that established science leadership is having a sustained impact on science teaching and learning across the school. The PSQM strives to, ‘set all children on a path to a life filled with exciting possibilities and opportunities by giving them access to a strong foundation in quality primary science education.’ At Bourne Abbey, as well as exciting, hands-on science lessons, children can take part in science related clubs, have science visits and visitors across their primary years and have the opportunity to become science ambassadors. Mrs Ross, science leader, said, ‘It is fantastic once again to have gained this quality mark which represents the fabulous science teaching and learning across our school.’
