        One Day Creative Workshops

Once again, the children thoroughly enjoyed participating in One Day Creative Online Safety workshops. Key Stage One children took part in the workshop “Into the Screen” where they enjoyed meeting different fairy tale characters who faced tricky situations. They helped The Three Little Pigs to keep their personal information private, reminded Little Red Riding Hood to never talk to strangers and supported the Ugly Sisters to be kind online to Cinderella. The children learnt a motto, “Stop! Get off! Tell” to help them if they ever face a tricky situation online.

“The workshop was so much fun. I liked helping the Three Little Pigs to create passwords that no one else would be able to guess.” – Ryan from 1B

Key Stage Two’s Workshop was called “Have Your Say” which celebrated the wonders of the online world but also taught the children about some of the dangers they could face on social media. All children used their bodies and minds to ponder big Online Safety questions such as how does our digital footprint affect us? Where does that video go when we put it online? What impact do our words and actions have on others? And crucially, who and where can we turn to if we ever need help? This workshop provided children with practical skills about how to keep personal.
