        Young Voices 2023

        Author: Paul Houghton

2023 Kicked off with songs in the hearts of many of our Year 4s as Mr Gombault took them to participate in Young Voices 2023. Our choristers had been diligently practicing the songs over the previous months in preparation.

Young Voices, which has been running for over 25 years, gives the children a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in an arena-filling choir performing alongside famous artists. 2023 was no different with the almost 5,000 strong children’s choir performing alongside Heather Small and the Beat Box Collective.

The day itself was a real test of the children’s perseverance (our Christian Value for the term) as they rehearsed through the afternoon listening to key messages, cues and practicing the songs and actions. During the afternoon, special guests joined the stage to perform their particular songs with the choir.

Yet, the evening was the main event! With the audience entering the arena, the children’s energy took a necessary boost before the concert. They beamed through the songs and actions putting in all the effort that they could muster and demonstrating without doubt that they had the Wow Factor!

As always, our children were impeccable, thoroughly enjoying the entire day and the opportunity to flourish in such an awe inspiring event.

A huge thank you to Mr Gombault and the teachers who made the day possible for our children!
