        Year 6 Speaks Up!

        Author: Megan Shears

Our Year 6 pupils have been stepping up and making their voices heard! Recently, they’ve been learning all about National Infrastructure projects that are set to impact Lincolnshire. From new road developments to changes in transport and energy services, these big projects could shape the future of our local community — and our Year 6s had a lot to say!

In class, they researched the benefits, challenges, and potential changes these projects might bring. With lively debates and passionate discussions, they crafted thoughtful responses and ideas about how these plans might affect us all.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Our pupils took their work one step further by sending their responses to one of our local councillors. That’s right — real decision-makers are now reading our students’ thoughts and considering their ideas. The voices of our young people are being taken into account!

This is a wonderful example of how our pupils are learning to engage with the world around them and become active, thoughtful citizens. Who knows? Some of their suggestions might even help shape the future of Lincolnshire for years to come!

We are so proud of our Year 6s for their hard work, curiosity, and willingness to speak up. Watch this space — the future is in good hands!
