During their Ancient Maya history topic, Year 6 have explored how masks were an important part of their culture. In their art lessons, they researched different Mayan masks and then chose one type that would inspire their own design. Once they had designed their mask, the children spent time practising a number of different clay rolling techniques, that would help them make their masks. The children enjoyed spending time practising these methods and using the equipment. Afterwards, they discussed their favourite technique that they will use in their final piece.
