Year 5 Silverstone Experience
We were thrilled to be visited just before Christmas by Silverstone Interactive Museum Outreach team who delivered a workshop to each class in Year 5 as part of our science topic ‘Forces’.
The workshops which focussed on Formula 1 cars and the forces they are subjected to whilst racing kept the children engaged and they left the session with increased knowledge and understanding to enhance our topic learning.
Mr Peter Bellamy, Head of School, said, ‘It was wonderful for our children to have the opportunity to have motorsport brought to life in our school, it also helps us to celebrate the wonderfully significant history of the sport and its close connections with Bourne. We hope that this experience will lead to our children to be inspired and motivated in the future and are very grateful will all involved for helping us to bring the event to Bourne Abbey.’
