In the season of Advent, which is of course one of our favourite times of the year here at Bourne Abbey C of E Primary Academy, our Year 1, 2 and 3 children made us so proud in our Carol Service.

On Wednesday 6th December, we took a beautifully frosty walk down to our Bourne Abbey Church to celebrate the story of Christmas. Father Peter led our service and for the parents and careers, it was a truly wonderful experience to listen to such passionate singing and to watch the story unfold between the songs and readings.

Mrs Matthews said, “It was such a pleasure to see the whole performance in church, from the Year 1 singers, to the Year 2 performers and the Year 3 narrators. Everyone shone in their part of the service”.

Mrs Skidmore said, “I don’t think I have ever heard ‘Silent Night’ sung so beautifully by the Key Stage One children!”.

It was absolutely wonderful to see how confident all of the children have become since they started their school journey with us at Bourne Abbey.

As we look forward to 2024 and what it may bring for us all, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
