        World Book Day 2024!

        Author: Jill Bates

The wonders of World Book Day once again filled our school with excitement as the likes of Willy Wonka, Little Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter and many more wonderful characters joined together to celebrate a love of reading together. Children across the school enjoyed getting involved with all the exciting activities, hunting for golden tickets hidden in books, discovering ‘mystery’ books and sharing stories form their favourite authors as children met up with their reading buddies from other year groups. Our rainforest library was full of children relaxing with our wonderful curriculum texts and exploring our fantastic new selection of non-fiction.  As a school we are committed to fostering a love for reading and believe reading for pleasure is of utmost importance. World book Day was a wonderful day for both staff and pupils to celebrate our whole school culture of reading for pleasure.

We are excited to start planning next year with our reading ambassadors!
