The Mystery of the Missing Snowman

Last week, the children of Bourne Abbey Primary Academy leapt at the chance of helping a little girl with a big problem. Phoebe, aged 6 from Heckington, had contacted her local PCSO about the disappearance of one of her beloved snowmen.  Unfortunately the PCSO was too busy to lend a hand so he contacted his team of Mini Police at Bourne Abbey and he asked them to let the rest of the children know exactly what had happened. Not only did he want everyone to be aware so they could keep their eyes peeled for the missing snowman, but he also wanted the Mini Police to ask the children to write newspaper reports for the Bourne Local so that the whole community could keep their eyes peeled!

The children eagerly set about watching the recording created by the Mini Police that outlined what had happened, including the all-important CCTV footage that clearly showed the disappearance of the snowman. Once they had all the facts they needed, they worked their fingers to the bone writing detailed reports and missing posters. Miss Lorna Ockwell, Assistnat Head, said “When the last report was done, the teachers came together to choose the best reports and those children were handsomely rewarded for their efforts! It seems we have some budding roving reporters in our midst!”
