Science Week
This week Bourne Abbey felt both thrilled and fortunate to welcome a real life Professor Abbey to school. We were visited in assembly by Natalie Lamb, a water scientist from Anglian Water. She the children to question their ideas about the job of a scientist. She wanted them to consider what scientists do, where they might work and even what they might wear? She also encouraged them to recognise that science is all around us and how everyday lives can be enhanced by the work of scientists.
The children were enthused and engaged by Natalie’s assembly and we thank her for taking the time out of her day to visit our school and help us to promote and celebrate all things science here at Bourne Abbey.
