        Reception – Hedgehog Houses!

        Author: Helen Fleming

Reception have been busy this week building hedgehog houses to give them a warm place to hibernate for the winter. We have been reading ‘Percy the Park Keeper’ books and finding out how Percy cares for all the wildlife in his park. We have introduced the children to the terms diurnal and nocturnal and talked about the different animals that are nocturnal. This week Mr Pateman, our site manager, came in to help us build hedgehog houses for our school grounds. We can’t wait to see if wildlife moves into them!
