        Easter Eggstravaganza

Eggs galore! It was a wonderful treat for children and staff at Bourne Abbey to hold their Easter Extravaganza in the last week of term. The day began with an Easter bonnet parade, where the children could show off their fantastic creations- such imagination and attention to detail. Next, the egg decoration competition and again, there were some eggcellent entries and some works of art: the standard was eggstravagant! Finally, the egg roll. This entailed the pupils rolling a hard- boiled egg as far across the playground as possible without it smashing, not an easy task. However, the distances achieved by the winners were eggstraordinary and eggstreme! What a thoroughly cracking eggsperience for everyone.

Along side this day, the PTFA organised an Easter egg colouring competition and there was a cracking uptake from across the school, with a number of high standard entries being submitted. Our school Art Ambassadors had the eggceptionally difficult job of judging the winners from each class.

Mr Shore, Assistant Head, said, “Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their day and it was a wonderful way to celebrate Easter with all of the children. Thank you to all of our parents and carers who supported our children to participate in these events and the PTFA for their continued hard work in organise fun activities for the children. We can’t wait until next year!”
