        It’s Show Time!

What an incredible time Year 4 have had at Bourne Abbey this week with their amazing Veni, Vidi, Vici assembly.

Parents and staff were wowed by the energy, charisma and confident theatrical talents of the children during their performance.  The pupils have really immersed themselves in their History topic since September and were really keen to share what they had been learning about the amazing legacy of the Roman Empire, with parents, grandparents and carers. There were hilarious moments during some of the sketches, and catchy lyrics as they blasted out songs such as ‘The Roman Medley’ and ‘Just Like A Roman’.

The children have worked tirelessly in rehearsals during school and have carefully learnt their lyrics and lines at home to challenge themselves to be the best they can be – what a motivated and dedicated lot! Of course, the talents of the children did not just lie with the actors and narrators – thank goodness for the creative children and adults who spent time producing the fabulous props and stage set. Without the help of everyone in the year group the show could not go on!

A huge thank-you to the staff, children and parents and carers of Year 4 for helping to make this such an awesome assembly.
