It was a resounding success with £670 being raised for the charity. Guests enjoyed meeting friends, refreshments, a raffle and picking up some bargains, whilst all the time knowing that the money raised would help the children in the village of Nyansakia in Kenya. Mrs Angela Goold, Year 6 teacher at Bourne Abbey, said “The amazing amount of money raised will go towards funding three teachers, feeding the children and supporting the villagers grow their own crops and food. We are also funding beds and mattresses for the new Special Needs Unit, uniform for orphaned children and hope to buy cows and chickens as an additional food source. Thanks to all those who attended.”
