Cross Country at Stamford Welland Academy
On Saturday 14th March, children from Years 3 to 6 took part in the Primary Cross Country event at Stamford Welland Academy. All the children who took part persevered despite the cold weather and rainy start to the morning.
Both schools had a great morning taking part in the 4 different races with the Year 3 and 4 Boys’ team from Bourne Abbey finishing in fourth place overall in the competition.
Particular congratulations to the following children from Bourne Abbey – Finley (in Year 4) who finished in 1st place in the Year 3 and 4 boys’ race and Sam (in Year 5) who finished 1st in the Year 5 and 6 boys’ race.
Miss Worrall and Miss Sidwell (Class Teachers) said ‘Thank you to everyone who turned up and took part. We are both proud of your achievements!’
