        Class of 2021 Leavers’ Service

        Author: hue

On Monday 19th July our year 6 children took part in their end of year leavers’ service in front of parents and carers. Despite the extremely hot weather, the children relished the opportunity to finally perform some of their show songs in front of a live audience- a rare event during these challenging times. After a very challenging 18 months for our year 6 pupils, it was a very special opportunity for our children to share their memories of their time at Bourne Abbey and celebrate the hard work and success of all the pupils. Here at Bourne Abbey we are incredibly proud of all of our year 6 children. The resilience and determination they have shown, particularly in the last year has been exceptional. They have made Bourne Abbey very proud. We wish them every success and we are sure they will all continue to fly high as they continue their educational journey.

Well done and thank you to the class of 2021.

Miss Seymour shared a beautiful prayer with the children during the service. We would like to share this with you….

        Heavenly Father,

You have blessed us with the care of these wonderful and amazing young people and we thank you for all their achievements, challenges, strength and wisdom particularly through these COVID times. Just like one of your wonderous creations, they have grown into respectful, responsible, caring, enthusiastic and confident young people. Please watch over them them as they take their final steps from this place and stride with confidence onto their next adventure. We ask that you place your eternal blessing upon them, love and care for them and guide them now and for all days.

        Amen
