Pupils from Year 5 and 6 undertook a training session on children’s first aid. It was a specialised program designed to teach young people how to respond effectively and safely in emergency situations. The training focused on age-appropriate methods to help children recognise emergencies, call for help, and provide basic assistance until professional help arrives. Topics included treating minor cuts and burns, recognising signs of choking, and performing CPR on a child or infant. The goal was to empower children with confidence and practical skills to help themselves or others in need while emphasising the importance of staying calm and seeking adult assistance. It was a very informative session and one the children really enjoyed.
