Chick This Out!
Ten eggs were cosy and warm in an incubator and the Reception children at Bourne Abbey C of E Primary Academy watched and waited for the sound of little pecks, a little wobble or a tiny crack to appear……but which egg would hatch first?
There were ooohhs and ahhhhs as one by one the eggs cracked and a chick hatched out. The children have enjoyed observing carefully how the chicks grow and develop.
The children with all their amazing chick facts have learnt and written about the life-cycle of a hen. A special thank you to the ‘Happy Chick Company,’ for providing this amazing experience for our children.
