One of our favourite times of year is always when we can dress up and get involved with supporting Pudsey in raising money for Children in Need. This year was no exception and the children at Bourne Abbey all dressed in our sportiest and spottiest sportswear ready for action! At 9am we all waited with bated breath for the Big Morning Move: a live stream of a special exercise session with Joe Wicks. He was a little bit late starting but we were all really up for the challenge when it began! Star jumps, running on the spot and squats were just a part of the routine – it was exhausting but what a lot of fun we had! Our loose change also covered the big Pudsey heads to go with the sponsor money and dressing up donations to raise even more lovely money for the cause!
Mrs Maxine Anderson, School Council Coordinator, said “We always have the good causes in our minds when we take part in the fun activities for Children in Need. Thinking about other children who may not be as lucky as we are is part of being a UNICEF rights respecting school: we are always happy to contribute to the phenomenal totals raised by the charity each year, as these go towards supporting initiatives around the country that enable other children to access their rights. “
