An Amazon Adventure!
Year 6 have kicked off the new year with a STUNNING start to their new geography topic, ‘An Amazon Adventure’! We enjoyed an immersive geography day, where we stepped out of Christmas and straight into South American culture, conducting independent research into life on this amazing continent. We enjoyed finding out about the 12 fascinating and very different countries and identified these on a map, before learning about the different and very varied biomes across the continent. 6M enjoyed hearing all about Mrs Morgan’s travels around South America and guessed where her photos had been taken – we especially enjoyed the animal pictures! We are all very excited for the Explorer Academy visitors who are coming to visit us with their wonderful Rainforest Workshop next week – we can’t wait!
