For the past 4 weeks, the Year 3 children from Bourne Abbey have counted down the days until they finally got to meet the inspirational and creative author, Bethan Woollvin. During this time, they undertook the most outstanding ‘fractured fairy tales’ learning, focusing on two of Bethan’s books; Little Red and Rapunzel. Then, at last, on Tuesday 5th February, the great day arrived! The children could not contain their excitement as Bethan entered the hall to greet them. They were grinning from ear to ear, and someone even said their smiles were larger than the Big Bad Wolf’s just before he gobbled up Grandma.
