        Africa Day

Bourne Abbey recently held our annual Africa Day and also took part in the UNICEF Soccer Playground Challenge. As well as joining in fun football based activities, all pupils participated in a variety of activities to raise funds for local Bourne based charity, Friends of Nyansakia. They then enjoyed a day of African themed art and craft, hair braiding, face painting, games and competitions. Everyone had a huge amount of fun whilst being able to help their friends at school in Nyansakia. Mrs Angela Goold, class teacher, said “Bourne Abbey is a UNICEF Rights Respecting School and is always proud to help children around the world who don’t always have the rights to which they are entitled; in Nyansakia, the right to an education, clean water and nutritious food.”
