Striving For Excellence, Caring For All In a Loving And Caring Christian Environment.

A very special Collective Worship for Bourne Abbey…

        Author: Jill Bates

On Tuesday 4th July, Paul Thompson, Director of Education for the diocese of Lincoln, visited Bourne Abbey Primary Academy to present the school with a certificate to recognise its recent ‘Excellent’ judgement following a recent SIAMS inspection. Head of School, Peter Bellamy, was proud to receive the recognition on behalf of the school during a Collective Worship delivered by Abbey Academies Trust’s Director of Church Distinctiveness, Alison Simpson.

SIAMS (The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) who conducted their inspection in May, wrote glowingly about the school following its one-day inspection. Bourne Abbey was rated as excellent for both its overall grade and for the impact of its Collective Worship, an achievement that Mr Thompson recognised was a difficult one to attain and reflective of the continued efforts of the staff and pupils always striving to be the best they can.
