Mini police on patrol
As part of the Mini Police programme, the Mini Police Officers had to look at the topic Fatal Four which focuses on careless and dangerous driving and the consequences this can have. One of the areas they looked at was speeding. The officers had to design posters and speeding tickets and as part of the experience, under the guidance of our local PCSOs, they were allowed to use the speed gun to catch speeding drivers on Abbey Road. Any driver that was caught exceeding the speed limit was offered the choice, take an actual speeding ticket or one designed by the Mini Police, along with a lecture on the dangers speeding can cause. The Mini Police Officers thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it proved a fantastic learning opportunity for them.
