The mental health and well-being of our children is at the heart of our school vision and creative curriculum. To celebrate this, each week during our Golden Book assemblies the class teacher and support staff nominate a child in their class who puts the emotional well-being of others first and has shown compassion and empathy towards their peers.
Throughout our PSHE lessons there is a focus on the mental health and well-being of our pupils and families. Here at Bourne Abbey we use Jigsaw, a whole-school approach to developing children’s Personal, Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural wellbeing. Children participate in activities and discussions to learn and develop an understanding of themselves, others, the world and beyond.
