A Special Virtual Visit from Author Bethan Woollvin!
Today, we had an exciting virtual visit from none other than award-winning author and illustrator Bethan Woollvin! Bethan, best known for her bold and brilliant fairy tale retellings, treated us to a reading of Little Red, captivating us all with her striking illustrations and unique storytelling.
But that was just the beginning! Bethan gave us an exclusive tour of her new studio, where she creates her incredible artwork, and even shared her original illustrations, offering a fascinating insight into her creative process.
The highlight of the session was a live drawing experience, where the children followed along to sketch their very own versions of Little Red and a particularly devious Big Bad Wolf. These fantastic drawings will now take on a whole new life as part of our computing project—where students will use the iMotion app to create an animated book trailer for Little Red 2!
A huge thank you to Bethan Woollvin for inspiring us with her creativity and giving our students a glimpse into the world of illustration and storytelling. We can’t wait to see the amazing book trailers our students will create!
