Jonathan Broom-Edwards (MBE) visited our Year 6 children who didn’t attend the residential visit last week, bringing with him an inspiring session filled with fun and engaging sports activities. The children took part in a mini circuit designed to simulate what it might feel like to compete in sports with a disability. They completed many activities from throwing bean bags while balancing on one leg to walking blindfolded across balancing beams all whilst learning to trust their communication with their partners and developing their teamwork skills. The experience not only gave the children a deeper appreciation of adaptive sports but also allowed them to develop their coordination, resilience, and cooperation, all while having a fantastic time. We are looking forward to seeing Jonathan again soon!
